Customer service is an activity of identifying and satisfying customer needs, this is the basic definition that comes in anyone’s minds while he looks at this idiom. Question is what does this term mean to you from business point of view?
Without customers no business can exist and as businesses grow it looses its touch with its customers. Customer service is something that keeps your customers satisfied and make them come again and again to do business with you.
You must have heard the phrase that customers are always right, customer service mean providing complete services to your valued customers from greeting customers to presenting them new samples, luring them to pay attention towards new launched brands or fulfilling the complaints regarding any older brands.
Customer service is a commitment that begins from the top management in any organization and all that is needed is to develop a culture that understands this concept. In today’s world business is not about providing goods and services to your customers but to make them realize that what you are providing. If you leave the gap of not providing or not making them realizing your products, there will be someone (competitor) who is ready to fill this void. Add some innovation into this concept, like train your staff to eradicate that automated and crammed sentences like “have you liked everything in our store? Or utter the same words again and again on phone” this sounds awkward. Ask your staff to be original and new in interaction and make their visiting time good.
Loyal customers that come again and again and make more purchases with you, deal them with respect. Always welcome their “fewer & minor” complaints, get into the bottom of complaints immediately and rectify it as soon as possible. Go out of the track to develop good customer relationships that is most precious thing and long lasting factor for generating business.
