Recession, Recession, Recession, aren’t we are tired of this repetitive term already? We must have had heard about it hundreds of times now. I know it has affected our businesses badly and people are spending less on clothing, furniture or other costly items, but at the same time people are becoming more health conscious in past few years, as a result they are spending less on other luxury items and more on health products.

Consumer behavior has changed tremendously in last few years and conscious companies have noticed it too. In an era, when every other news is about gloom and obscurity, fresh gush of one good launch is all it takes in cosmetic industry. Women can defer a luxury but can not compromise on basic necessity i.e. cosmetics. We can’t frame this business as seedling as we all are well aware of its strong roots.

As a wholesaler, you must be aware of the fact that consumers are spending less on branded clothes or any other expensive items; even then it can turn out to be a successful and profitable business in these hard times. If you are not completely shifting to this side, just experiment and dedicate a small percentage of your resources to basic and beauty products like cosmetics and note the difference.

Start trading in some world class brands like Maybelline, Revlon, Garnier, L’oreal, Neutrogena and other names with items like foundation, face wash, shampoo, conditioner, cleanser, mascara, lip gloss and much more as list goes on. Just add them in your product lists and see customers coming towards your business more eagerly.
